Hi everyone! I have a friend of mine who found this in his Step Father's office and he is wondering how much it's worth? I know that the answer probably is not very much at all, but I would still like to know anyways. I told him in the text message that it's seen a lot of circulation and it appears to have been cleaned at some point of its life. Am I correct about it being cleaned at some point? Errers and Varietys.

Well worn, possibly cleaned and retoned. Value less than ten cents, if that.

As an well worn, cleaned, older wheatie a nickel five cent piece should cover it.

A good indicator of a cleaned specimen is strong luster with well worn details. A coin undergoing normal circulation would lose it's mint luster long before fine details would ever begin wearing off, so if it appears polished yet flat, then it almost certainly underwent some cleaning.

Thank you BrandaBob for your comment! It's definitely cleaned by the looks of it.

Quote: A good indicator of a cleaned specimen is strong luster Cleaned coins are normally devoid of luster. It appears you're confusing luster with red color. They are completely different.
