Below are the last two (see earlier postings for the other two). Do you these are MS 62 at least, or do the finger prints take away more points? What would you grade them. '64 Kennedys are common, so they have to be very high MS to have any real value. Over 400 million struck. Nevertheless, four .900 fine Halves for $15 is an OK buy. Report this Post to the Staff
mdpmedia Pillar of the Community United States 3546 Posts	Posted 04/22/2019 05:46 am If you just want to take a chance to make it look a bit better, soak it one full day in xylene, an 'organic' solvent, then gingerly dislodge any remaining residue with a porcupine quill to avoid damaging the patina. This should assist to augment the eye appeal you desire but do not hold your breathe for the removal of fingerprints which are a result of human amino acids that actually etch into the patina permanently. Normally, for a coin like this I would not do anything to make it look any better unless it was a rare variety. This coin would be, however, one to practice cleaning on. Report this Post to the Staff
