My 1980-D Lincoln Cent has the same marking. Was wondering if you coin here is a Denver mint too. I just put mine up for sale for 50 cents. I'll keep you informed if/when it sells if you want.

Yes. A common area is on the 4 corners of the Memorial reverses. No premium, but new collectors are crazy about them. When you searched for years, you start to see them for what they are, die events. A way for the die to show that it is aging and breaking down.

It is a Die crack, but they are extremely common in these parts. Once you get into Coin roll hunting, you'll see a lot more of these.
