i have a 1956 d mint double mint stamp but it has some extra thick outer line cutting off li in liberty and half of the letters on in god we trust do I have something here

To CCF jaystl357mag! Unfortunately, you have what we call a Dryer Coin, which is caused by Post Strike Damage ( PSD), meaning that this happened after it left the U.S. Mint (after it was struck).
