Good morning. I absolutely know nothing about Canadian currency but I just got this out of a coin roll and I have no idea about it or anything. I would appreciate it if anybody would give me some information on this coin. Herefew images. Thank you...

It's not Canadian, it's a British New Half Penny. The made about 1.4 billion of them and it's probably worth about $0.10 US.

Not Canadian, it doesn't say Canada anywhere.
Whenever you see a coin with the British Monarch
and it has no country name, it is from the UK.

This coin was legal tender in the UK from 15 February 1971 until 31 December 1984. It was never very popular and from about 1977 had very little purchasing power owing to high inflation in the 1970s. As nfine says, they are very common and of little value, but still quite a fun find!

I stand corrected on the Canadian part I just saw the queen and automatically thought that that's what it was because like I said I don't know anything about these coins or Canadians but was a neat fine and quite interesting I guess for having no value and a pretty neat little jolt to the adrenaline when you're opening up a roll of coins and see that smaller coin laying there and wondering what you came across. But hey I thank you all for the information I appreciate it....
