I went to my LCS yesterday and was looking at some proof sets. One in particular, 1992, had a rather large linear bubble on the obverse of the cent. I passed on purchasing it since I want the coins to be without blemishes. I believe it was a copper plating bubble. My question is, should I go back and buy that proof set since that is an error, or is it not worth it.

It is a plating bubble and I think they are distracting. In my opinion you were wise to pass on it. Others may disagree.

A plating bubble is not an error, it is PMD
as it happened after the coin was minted.
Pass on it, it just devaluates the coin.

Thanks for the responses. Always trust your gut. That bubble would always have been a distraction for me. I don't even like to purchase sets that have scratches on the lenses.
