An original pack of Japanese (Philippines) 1 Centavos still in their original pack I picked up. 1000 notes total. Lots of history right here!

Fascinating, but what do you plan to do with the package?

Very cool snag! I'd imagine that the package itself is probably worth about as much if not more than the notes by themselves - I still don't have a good explanation of why I don't have a set of these invasion notes for my collection!

I will likely leave it as is. These notes by themselves aren't worth much, so not worth breaking it up.

That is a very nice brick. I have seen graded notes where the original bank strap is sealed in the holder.

Superb piece of history. Can you get the text on the package translated? It would be very interesting.

From a notaphilic point of view:
probably unique.

Needs special storage considerations.

Thanks all. It was actually originally sealed, but the folks auctioning it off opened it on one end carefully to see the type of notes inside. I am not really sure what it could be worth.. there's probably not many left floating around.

Joe Boling is an expert on Japanese paper money. He is also Chief Exhibit Judge for ANA. Anyway, value is about $300.00.

That is really amazing, especially the outside wrapper.
