Hello all,

I am having a hard time telling the blunt vs the pointed 5 variety. Here are a few pennies I have, your insights please and thanks very much.

Your pictures are taken on a slight angle so it's hard to tell but they could be blunt 5. The 1965 variety is tough because they both look pointed, it should be 'pointed' and 'pointier' 5. The pictures on coinsandcanada.ca are not easily distinguished...use this picture instead.

Pointed on the left, blunt on the right.

They all look like blunt 5's to me...

Examine the pointed 5 examples here:

Good information. I've looked at the other pennies that are blunt and these definitely fit the "pointier" quality. It's very tricky
