Obverse has been Struck Through Grease slightly. Reverse shows a Die Crack, Split Plate Doubling and zinc rot.

Probably the majority of the grease filled devices, cause the strike to be stronger and caused the split plating issue. (The grease in the fill devices forced the metal to not be spread out unevenly and possibly caused the split plating on the reverse)

Aye, thanks guys, the dreaded STG ( Struck Through Grease) it tis on obverse. I was questioning the tops of the devices being deformed on the reverse also.
