Hi: My wife gave me a small pilofilm pouch of qty five (5) 1961 Canadian pennies. The pouch is similar to the one used for the 1967 Centennial token that was given to everyone as a kid in public school. Has anyone ever seen these before and where could I find out more information about them? Thx.

Thanks. That sounds about right as I think these were my wife's mothers.

I don't know if it comes from the same source, but I know that in 1963 a laundry soap company had this type of promotion.

The company offered a 12-cent discount on the purchase of their soap box. And the discount was in the bottom of their box, 12 coins of 1 cent 1963 in a pliofilm (2 rows of 6 coins each). I have one of these somewhere.

On the other hand, I forgot the name of the company. Maybe it says something to some people...
I'm sorry if my English isn't perfect... I'm learning a little more every day.

I have one of these pouches too. It came out of a can of Nestle's Quik.

Also see this thread about them. Does the picture look like yours?
