I was intrested in buying whole rolls of quarters from the bank for the different State Quarters. I also would like to get a penny roll from the bank. I was wondering if there was a firm (ie. Bank of America, fifth third, National City, etc.)who typically have whole rolls. Also does anyone know a bank that consistently carries halves?
Help here is much appreciated.

Most banks do not carry halves but can order them in for you at your request.

Do they make you buy the whole box if you do that or can you take it in pieces.

If you are looking for circulated State Quarters, you would have to make your own rolls. The only chance of getting an UNC roll is when each State Quarter was released. You should be able to pick up a roll of current cents that are UNC at most banks.

You would have to get "lucky" to find a bank holding "uncirculated whole rolls" of the State Quarter series from the past ten years. Only the recent two or three would be more likely. Mine had 10 or 12 States two or three years ago.....but no where near all of them.....that's very unlikely to find. But of course, as each new state comes out.....EVERY bank will carry them and may still have the past year or two.
And you can very easily ask your bank for "rolls of cents" or "halves" and if they don't have them, they'll order them for you.....likely they'll have the "cent rolls" but not too many "halves".....(but they'll order whatever you want for no extra cost to you.....some banks may try to charge something, but most won't if you have an account with them.)
