Are there a type of ledges that are worth watching for? I'm sure the reverse of this coin is probably nothing but I thought it humorous that the eagle appears to be a male. Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 05/04/2019 12:13 pm By looking at the obverse and reverse lettering (lettering closest to the rim) and the ledges you're referring to it appears that what you're seeing is mechanical damage.
