Hi Folks,

You never know what you might dig up around Amsterdam. MDing around here is like a blind pigs and acorns. Sooner or later they will pick up one.

Here's a coin I found and really don't enough about it to find good information. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Daryl

Any idea why the images don't show? I'm new and need some help here if I not doing something right. They are just JPG files.

Thanks,

Daryl

That coin is in very nice shape for dug, considering the obvious age! Sorry I can't provide any info myself, but I'm sure we'll soon hear something good.

I'm guessing it's a Copken or 1/2 Penny from Arnold IV of Looz, 1280-1323.
Should be ~12mm-15mm in diameter.

These were imitative of the English coinage being used in the Low Countries.

Thanks. I'll look around for that.

12mm as close as I can measure.

Hi Bioprof,

Edit your post to include just the URL of each picture between a set of img tags, like this

[img]http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...24_Lady1.jpg[/img]

(Notice the closing img tag has a / in it.) Then you should see the picture in your post like this:
