It's almost 100 years old and has seen a ton of circulation and Post Strike Damage ( PSD). It's not an error, as it didn't leave out of the U.S. Mint like that. It's unfortunately a cull coin.

Agree, just a damaged coin (common date to begin with) and hardly worth saving.
