Aftre a little over a year I decided to get out of coin hunting. Since I was not in it for any money I put all kinds of wams and cams over 200 wheats numerous DDR and other errors into a bag of 4000 or so cents and put them back for someone else to find. I did keep some choice cents. Whoever is a coin hunter in Spokane will have a treat. I am going to keep an eye on my pocket change and that is about that. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

That's fine. CRH is not for everyone. It takes a lot of time and experience to do.

Coinblind2: How about getting 2 of the best examples only of every commemorative coin you can find in circulation? Cost: Face value only.
I have done that with Australian commemorative coins. This part of my collection now numbers around 250 coins, collected over about a 3 year period.
Interesting. My first love is ancients, but collecting current coins keeps the numismatic interests healthy.

Quote: I might get back into it later, never know, might get the bug again Chances are you will find that you really enjoyed collecting coins and be back in it again. I gave up collecting for about 30 years and now I spend most of my time looking at coins.

Quote: Don't select stamps for your new hobby. VERY depressed market. On the other hand that means you could build a very extensive collection for a low cost. Sure you won't get you money back out of it, but getting your money back out is not what a hobby is about, and is possible with very few hobbies.
