G'Day All

I am new to this community and seeking some information on a coin that I have had in a general coin collection for some 40 to 50 years that I first had as a young teenager. I have long since lost interest in foreign coins and only focused on Australian pre-decimal coins.
I dug this old collection of mine up recently and was going through my coins looking at ebay just for a bit of fun and came across an old Greek coin I have which I now know is a 1833 5 Drachmia's which appears to be quite valuable. Particularly in the condition that mine is in.
As such I am looking to get advice on its authenticity.
One thing that throws me is that although very similar mine seems to have some distinct differences to the ones I see on ebay. I have attached some pictures for your perusal. It weighs 22g on my digital scale (my scale has no decimal places) and the dimensions are 37.6mm wide by 2.8mm thick at the edges
I would be very interested to know what you think.

It appears to be fake to me. Quite a few things are not right, including the denomination not being pluralized as it should be to ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ.

It's not surprising that counterfeiters would target this coin considering the low mintage and resultant value.

This is what I find strange if your going to make a copy you copy it. This coin has some clear differences such as spelling, the wreath designs, the symbols below the head and the head looks a bit younger. Seems strange that a copy would be so different.
Plus I know this coin is at least 40 to 45 years old as that is how longe it has sat in my coin album from my teenage days.

Just speculating an answer to your hypothetical question--perhaps enough of the design was changed to get around anti-counterfeiting laws.

Perhaps someone should start collecting fakes. I imagine they must be fairly low production product

I think that's exactly it. The design was changed enough to avoid counterfeit prosecution, but close enough to fool many collectors at the time. It continues today.
