I get a lot of people who say they cant find rings to fit. So I try to keep some larger sizes in stock.

.

Please elaborate. I'm not sure how I can add detail to a coin over and above what is already there.

Nope I'm old school Punch hole anneal and hammer over with a leather and nylon hammer there is no metal on metal contact other than the initial hole punch. My ring mandrel is made from delrin I turned it myself on a lathe. I see no degradation of detail at all. Using a dapping block, die presses and a ring stretcher all apply metal on metal contact which will mar detail. most rings made this way are treated with liver of sulfur to increase contrast on the devices. I prefer to keep the original surface as much as I can especially on silver eagles.
So my original question stands how can I add detail to a coin over and above what is already there?
