Hi I was weedeating outside today and found this dime it looks like the U and S in EPLURIB--UNUM is missing

@cm, first welcome to CCF. Second, based on your question, I think that there is a better forum wothin CCF to post this. I'll recommend to the mods that this thread be moved. Thirdly, it looks to me like there was some grease in the die when this coin was struck and therefore not all of the letters were fully struck.

with Spence. It is the result of a partially grease-filled die that kept those letters from striking properly. It is fairly common, especially in that area of the reverse.

Thank you again I like learning I just found a 94 quarter and a 97 quarter that looks maybe like it slid over the In God We Trust I'm going to share them I'm trying to figure out where I'm suppose to share everything. My learning abilities isn't as great as my desire to learn :) I'm trying though. I appreciate the help
