1946 D/D Lincoln Wheat Cent Repunched Mint Mark / RPM -019 - Cross Reference Confusion

tropicalbats Pillar of the Community United States 6182 Posts	Posted 05/18/2019 9:20 pm This is what I am pretty certain is RPM-019, and NOT RPM-009, although they are similar. The -009 has a distinctive bit coming down off the D, while this coin and -019 do not. Plus the overall look is -019. That said, Coppercoins 1MM-009 is this one, and shows the matching die markers on my coin. But it seems to incorrectly cross reference to -009 (and WRPM-007, see next). Wexler has WRPM-007, which appears to be RPM-009 and correctly referenced as such, but then incorrectly also references it as 1MM-009 which is RPM-019 Got it? Neither do I, but it sorta seems to make sense. And for those who like to keep score, it is PCGS MS-64 unattributed. 1946-D/D Lincoln Wheat cent RPM-019 (1MM-009) Report this Post to the Staff

Greasy Fingers Pillar of the Community United States 7232 Posts	Posted 05/18/2019 11:14 pm Sorry, you lost me, I'm going batty trying to follow your train of thought/question..On coppercoins..I see it as 1MM-009...Wexlers not WRPM-019 and but yes to WRPM-009, however, he list markers for die state A n B (obv n rev), but they don't show up on your coin? This coin is RPM-019 on VV, 1MM-009 on Coppercoins, and not listed on Wexler's site. However, it is cross-referenced incorrectly by Coppercoins as RPM-009. And Wexler has the cross reference from his WRPM-007 incorrectly as 1MM-009 but correctly to RPM-009. Clear as muddy coffee. Report this Post to the Staff

It takes me about three times as long to photograph a coin in a slab and I still can never seem to get the light right and even the lightest scuff on the slab does nasty things to the image.
