*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

Going through some coin rolls from a food Mart; I found a rare penny. The condition is not that of the other two known but it's here and genuine. Weighs 3.12 grams and sounds like copper when dinged. I just thought I'd share. How much do you think this coin could be worth at about an XF40-45?

The mintmark doesn't look real, I think it's just damage. Might just be a normal 1982 Philly (no mintmark) small date copper.

I have to agree. That mint mark looks more like a fortunately shaped hole that looks like a D shape and not a mint mark at all.

I think it's pitting like the others on the face of the coin.

Agree - it just looks like coincidental damage.

Sorry, but it's a normal 1982 Philadelphia Small Date Cent. You're looking for the 1982 Denver Small Date Cent that weights 3.1 grams, not the Philadelphia one. Worth exactly one cent.
