Gold Item Presume Not A Coin (Id: Button Or Decorative Pin)

Smartgear New Member United Kingdom 1 Posts	Posted 05/22/2019 07:37 am I have this item, reasonably sure it's gold, 18grams. don't know how old or what it is - thought it was a coin at first but then saw the back of it with the hole. any ideas please. The hole ont he back makes me think it was orignally some kind of button, ar attached there to some larger object like a piece of furniture. Also, it doesn't look solid gold to me - gold doesn't normally stain like that.
