Does anyone have this album? I am interested in knowing if there are specific slots for overdates and the three legged 1937-D? I know there are blank holes for varieties at the end, but I am talking about specific, labeled slots for the error coins. Thanks.

There is a dealer at some of the coin shows I go to that gives me albums free occationally. One time there was about 40 or more of them. I kept many and gave many away to friends that collected coins. If my memory serves me right, two of those were Littletons and I couldn't even give them away. Finally put them on a table at a flea market and walked away.
Amazing how many people just don't like that company.

Yeah !....
They're almost viewed with the same venom as the Home Shopping Network !...
I think really their albums and folders are quality enough, it's just that name "Littleton" that no one wants to see !!
Their coins being soooo overpriced, is why they're a waste of time....IMHO

I would not go that far, maybe...

My experience with LCC was from 1981~1982. I used their approval service for about a year; the local coin shop (where I lived at the time) did not have a lot of variety.

Many of my LHC's came from them. They were overpriced, but at least the coins were not cleaned, damaged, misrepresented, or ultra low-grade. The price for each "approval set" included S&H; which actually kept them rather close to the other mail-order firms. When one considers that I did not have to mail or call in an order, it was probably worth the time saved. I was only twelve, so cut me some slack!

I never had to deal with the "cancelling" process since we moved. The shipments were always mailed with a "Deliver to Addressee only, Do Not Forward" on them. I guess they "canceled" me when they were "returned to sender!" Good for me.

I do not know how they are now, but I have to say that I have dealt with worse.

People look down on littleton, because sometimes they believe they swindle people. Littleton is a business just selling a product, if you don't want it or think it is overpriced you don't buy, just like the shopping networks. I don't think they're out to swindle anyone.

The Littleton Buffalo album has only regular dates and mint marks. No varieties labeled. There are a lot of blank holes after the 1938-D, because the buffaloes don't begin to fill two album pages. I have the album and lack only 3 to complete. All are circulated. As for Littleton, sure, they are way overpriced. However, their supplies have always pleased me.

I agree with bqcoins. If you don't want to buy from Littleton, then don't. I have succumbed a couple of times and bought a coin. It is true that I did overpay some. However on the plus side, you get exactly what is described--not cleaned, not damaged in anyway, and good eye appeal. The quality is definitely there.

All it takes is one bad deal on e bay and you have negated a lot of the savings you may or may not have gained by buying on ebay.

That was always my experience with them.
