I have been busy collecting one ounce silver Kookaburras over the last few weeks. Bought a few, and received a few as gifts.

Now, I need a display case for storage and to display the coins.

What I need is something not too expensive, in the $20 to $30 range. I recently received a case as a gift, but it was for a type set of Kookaburras, rather than a complete set of the one ounce silver coins.

Would anybody have a suggestion as to where I might look to find the kind of case I need?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Garry I am not sure if there is a particular case available.

I think someone like Lim would have jumped in and shown you the light.

You may need to look for something that was intended for something else but still meets your requirements. (if that makes sence)

Hi Gary,

As far as I am aware, the Perth Mint do not makes any cases of the sort that you are looking for other than those they have for dedicated type sets.

I have a similar sort of a problem where I want to display my PM lunars when it is finished, but as there are none available I am going to display all of them in a clock face type format in a specially made display holder.

Having said all of that, I will ask around and if there are any, I will let you know....

I use this box for my silver lunar coins Display box
It may work for you.
the box for the gold lunars is much nicer and is made of wood

Thank you all for your input. I appreciate it. I have one very similar to the one shown by Richard, and that will probably do. I'll just have to come up with something creative to re-label the top.

Thanks again.

I spoke to the Perth Mint about display cases and there stated that there is no interest in them. The only interest they have in cases is for the gilded lunar coins.

I threw this back at them. I asked if it were possible that the reason why you have interest in cases for gilded lunar coins is because you make them and advertise them. The reason you have no interest in any other cases is because there are none available and you do not advertise them.

They then stated until there was a demand for them they would not have them available...they missed the point here.

After a lengthy discuss and telling them a few basics about marketing they may consider cases....but I am not holding my breath.
