About several months ago I found my dads coin books. I decided to try and fill them to kinda finish what he started. That's what got me started in collecting.
I started working on his penny book. I got book two of the penny's starting at 1941 completed. This got me working on his other books from penny's to Eisenhower's. I started with searching my change jar. A large pickle jar.
For some reason, I enjoy collecting the half dollar coins. Since, half dollars are hardly in circulation, I started coin roll hunting. I have almost completed the Kennedy books and thought that would be great. However, after finding 9 rolls of
Franklin half dollars and 5 rolls of
Walking Liberty half dollars from my bank, I am obsessed with hunting for and completing Kennedy, Franklin's, and Walking Liberty's coin sets.
I am enjoying learning the history of the coins, the variations, and finding something uncommon. These are some of the reasons I decided to join was to learn more about the coins I am collecting.
