Hi all, I made myself quit buying any more coins until I bought a 16-D Merc and a 09-S VDB. One down, one to go!!

It is one of the reasons why I wished I LISTENED to advice years ago to acquire the keys FIRST as commons will always be...well...common! It is hard to past up filling in as many slots as possible, but that is my coin resolution for 2005. Be patient, save for a high grade and/or key...get it!

Thanks for the storage offers, but this little baby don't take up too much room in "the vault". It finished off my Merc set, 'cept for the 42/1 varieties. Now I'm on the hunt for a SVDB. They are everywhere, but finding a problem free example for a reasonable price is my trouble. I went to a coin show last weekend and only saw 3 certified examples. (countless raw) Two of them were for a good price, but one had been cleaned and the other had a "weak VDB", looked like a filled die to me. Had to struggle to see the initials. The third was just flat out overpriced IMO, $925 for a VF. I didn't even consider any of the raw coins as counterfiets are too numerous. I have already bought some uncertified keys that I am afraid to send to a TPG for fear of finding out that I have been had.
