Probably caused by an Over Polished die issue. The excessive die polishing made the column look like that probably. Also, please be nice to our members and be respectful.

The areas you are looking at are where die polishing happens on the bays, the bays are part of the fields. So it any metal is removed off that area you will see raised areas on the bays. After this polishing happens many times the columns also start to distort. Not a DDR. You have a coin from die that is showing abrasion. Note the statue is also affected. The abrasion is that deep. Just a common coin.

David can you please enlighten my small mind as to how I was being not nice and Disrespectful to the other members. That's a pretty harsh assumption to make as I have always respected the members and thanked them for the help to Identify the coins I have posted.

I don't think its a true doubling. Its either over polished or an odd Grease Filled Die. I have to say though, that is EXTREMELY slight. You have got some good eyes to spot that.
