Hello everyone,
As someone who started collecting coins/tokens in earnest a little over a year ago, I find myself almost constantly googling things and reading books trying to learn. I stumbled across your site about nine months ago, and I have been here reading and double checking info found other places everyday since.
So, I finally decided to become a member, and my first act has to be to thank everyone who's info and posts have helped me so much. It's greatly appreciated.

Yep CCF is a great community of like minded collectors mostly interested in learning and increasing our knowledge about coins, tokens, currency, history, minting processes, and other ephemera. If US coinage is your interest then might I suggest you have a look at my post on books. http://goccf.com/t/113147 br / In my opinion one can never have too many good reference books on numismatics, it won't make you any less of a collector if you don't however, an informed collector is always better at finding the best coins for the money. Thank you westcoin! That is good advice. And I do like US coinage, so I bookmarked wiki.coinbooks.org. I've purchased a few books, and have read the titles at the branches of my local library, so I appreciate the list. |
