Not my area, but if you are willing to do some research, start by looking for "Bar Kochba" Judeaen coins, also known as "1st Revolt" coins.
The story is something like this: during the 1st century (around 131 AD), the city of Jerusalem revolted against Roman rule. The military leader of the revolt was Simon Bar Kochba, who used coinage as a political statement. The coins he struck (often overprinted on the available Roman coins) carried his name "ShI'mon" and also included mottos such as "Prince of Israel", "Freedom of Jerusalem", and "Redemption of Israel."
I am not sure if these are often counterfeited/copied or not, so I would not begin to guess as to whether your piece would be an original or perhaps a replica.
