This coin looks like it was minted last week in my uncle's basement. Does it look doctored? If so, how? Thanks!

Looks ok to my eye but I'd be wary. The hair on the bust doesn't look right and I'd be apprehensive.

I'd call it high AU with environmental damage.

It's wrong. Just plain wrong. Any coin of that value not in NGC or PCGS holders calls authenticity into question almost immediately. The rest of this guy's coins don't begin to approach this one, either.

Then the reverse lettering all by itself isn't square.

No, No, No...

As they say, just too good to be true. A savvy seller like this would have it graded. Not a believer.

In my eyes a very doctored worked up coin, not at all original surfaces, but pretty well done in order to trick an uneducated buyer. AU details at most. I'd price this one at not much over $200 seems like so far the bidders agree, thank goodness.

I wouldn't touch it.

I'm 50/50 on whether it's real.

Squirrely looking hair and date. Don't like the reverse lettering

I see red flags, (lettering, hair, date) but the biggest red flag is that it isn't in a TPG slab. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

I'm curious...how were coins bought and traded before there were 3rd party graders? I'm calling this a Cohen 3...I see no evidence of tooling...the die markers are there.
