@first4, it looks to me like this coin has some dried glue on the surface. The impressed pattern suggests that someone glued together two of these 50 cent pieces together and then popped them apart.

You should be able to remove it with your fingernail.

are you sure it not just some adhesive? (possibly another coins stuck on to it was remove left an impression of clear glue) probably PMD, however yours does have a tiny bottom lip Cud on the queen :D

that would be a die chip , not a Cud.

and I agree with dried glue of some kind, a soak in acetone should clear it up.

Definitely try acetone first.

true Cud involve the rim, but I just use them interchangeable.
