@cs, I might make note of the bend separate from the grade, e.g. Fine (bent). Others may suggest dropping it a grade or two based on this damage.

That is a question that you will struggle with your entire collecting life. I know that I have. To some, neither coin is acceptable due to the dameage. To others, the Sarawak 10 Cents with the two holes has more character. In my personal opinion, if I have to pick one of these to add, it would probably be the Tunisian 10 Centimes. This has more to do with my having visited Tunisia rather than anything specific about the coins though.

You will have to pick coins to add to your collection which make you the most happy. Make sense?

Also to me, the Tunisia coin has better eye appeal. It looks mostly like a uniform, natural patina.

The Sarawak coin appears to have had a bad cleaning in the past, has pitting and corrosion in addition to the holes. Yes, this is a kind of character, but for me it detracts more than the rim ding/bend.

But maybe because it is from nearby, it could have more significance to you than the Tunisian coin.
Rest in Peace
