I was looking over the coin below and wondered if the reverse direction of the reverse E; means anything to anyone?

Justin I. A.D. 518-527. Pentanummium Antioch mint. D N IVSTINVS P P AVG, diademed draped and cuirassed bust right / Reverse E; to left of Tyche seated left, all within arched shrine. SBCV 111, 11 mm, 1.34 grams

A link to these coins, all with this direction, is set up below:

The letter was cut backwards on the die. Not a rare type.

Echizento;

I was wondering if they did it on purpose or not and if so why. So you think they meant to make it backwards for any reason? Or they made the dies all wrong and made a ton of coins as it was not really important as an issue to them? Thus the backwards letter was not meant for any particular reason? Thanks!

My guess is that the die maker was illiterate and didn't know the right direction the letter was supposed to be in and just cut the letter wrong. An either no one noticed or know one cared. Sear shows this as a common coin so I would think a lot of them were struck
