I am not a collector, I have found this coin and want to know more about it. I was directed to this forum by a friend and he told me that I could find some answers here. Thank You for your time
That is a US Commemorative Coin and was issued in 1925. (Assuming it is not a reproduction) The box is not original to the coin, likely a marketing gimmick to sell these at a higher price.

They were originally distributed in a box similar to that, but that box does not look like an original one. The coin has also either been cleaned or it may even be a fake. It doesn't look right.
The coin looks over polished, but genuine. Sad. The box? Perhaps a fake since those I've seen are a bit darker. From the environment in which they were stored or age?
