83 & 84 had a lot of ruined dies with heavy die scratches. Maybe something was going on with the new Zinc planchets at that time? Seems like things were a bit better in 1985.

E&V & Grape Nice Clash coin congrats to you on your finds. I don't have any STRONG one like that, most of my clashes are weaker ones. The coin was offset on the strike a lil putting the clash in to the neck. I like this one for the fact that the mint over polished the Die and in doing so they removed some of the tie and the jacked leaving a hole with scratches but you can still see the clash a lil on the neck also. They failed in removing the clash and made it worse LOL
