US-Coin-And-Currency-Sets

Picked this one up for $39.00 last week. Lost on the 1997 Botanical Garden set today which closed at $112.00. My max bid was $110.

I feel that I did very good on the first, having one of the two modern matte proof Jeffersons', a silver dollar and two-dollar note. The '97 nickels seem to be around $85 in PF66FS, add in the dollar for another $25 and that's why I held firm on my bid. I'll get one eventually. Thoughts on both?

Nice! I think that's a good price for the set. I have been keeping my eye on them to eventually purchase, but I already have both coins individually - the dollar in Mint packaging and the nickel in a TPG slab. I spent over $70 for those two together, but the nickel is graded SP-69. I still want the Mint set, though.

I am also watching the Botanic Gardens set and the 1997 nickel graded. I have yet to commit to either of those. The 1997 nickel demands quite a bit more than the 1994 and I am less enthusiastic about the dollar in the '97 set.

Also, if you like these, check out the 2004 Lewis & Clark C&C Set. I think I would rather have that than the 1997 set.

Good price for the set. I was lucky enough to score 2 on the cheap (got one for $10) but sadly I was between jobs & had to flip them. Will keep looking for another deal. Did get the 1997 Botanic set for $39 & holding on to it.

I been meaning to get around to getting those, but just haven't.

Same goes for the W mint mark Dime from 1996. Man I wish there was a list of all these special pieces that were made somewhere out there to reference and what sets they came with for someoe to try to catch up. I know the 1996 W dime with that years mint set, the 1997 Botanical garden set, the 1993C&C set with the 1994 nickel, the 2000 millennium C&C set with burnished 2000 silver eagle Struck at West Point but not mintmarked, and burnished 2000 SAC dollar, but I'm sure there's others out there, that W Silver American Eagle from 1995, ect. a lot seems to slipped passed my radar for some reason....

Likely others that I've missed along the way. Maybe some Kennedy's also. I think the 2014-2016 C&C native American sets had a Enhanced Uncirculated coin..A lot to research and figure out I guess.

As mentioned I bought the '94 for the matte proof. Yet after getting it they are kind of interesting, enough to pursue a few others besides the 1997. Only those with silver dollars included, however, since the remainder seem over priced for what they are. But hey? Some like originality in them as such. Just saying.
