@CG, I am far from an expert on attributing Octopus Man coins, but in looking at my Lapa, this coin seems to have been issued by Queen Sri Raja Lilavati around the start of the 13th Century AD. Hopefully someone else more knowledgeable can weigh in with a little more certainty.

Spence is spot on with his ID....

Interestingly this Queen reigned 3 times.. AD 1127-1200 / 1209-1210 / 1211-1212.
The differences in the script form being the identifier..
I've used one of my examples below which is a 1st reign coin to show the slight difference in the legend..Yours seems to be the slightly rarer 2nd reign coin with different 'ja' and 'Li' script...
