Just found this in the coinstar returned coin tray, took it home and looked at it under my phone's camera (magnified) and noticed the date on the obverse is messed up, as well as larger than normal text on the reverse. Also the edge is mostly smooth. Is this a variety/error or just Machine Doubling?

Thanks

Looks like it spent a short time is a commercial clothes dryer. PSD. Spendable.

Dimes are pretty dead for doubled dies. Check out Variety Vista and note how many doubled dies are found after 1973.

I don't waste my time on them.
