Nice where did you get it? I see some marks on his cheek and cheek bone, as well as the hair behind his ear. MS60?

I work at a grocery store in FL. We have what is the equivalent to a coinstar. Some older lady dumped a heap of silver in it. I have about 8.00 face of some nice pre 1964 quarters. Another 10.00 in circulated silver. I am in the process of trying to buy the other silver that came out of it. Total there was about $50.00 face, a lot of it was uncirculated. The scratches and dings I believe came from coming through the machine. I would have cried if I would have seen her dumping them in it.

I have no fewer than three Publix stores that I can drive by on the way to/from work. Sounds like I need to drop-in and check the reject slots!

Unlike coinstar, our machines do not reject silver. All these were pulled from the inside of it. We go through about 2-3 bags of quarters a day, and we just happened to look inside one that day and noticed a whole bunch of silver. We looked at the security tapes and saw her come in and dump it in there. All was bought at face value. And before one asks, we've had these machines for about a year or so, and nothing good coin wise ever comes out of it. Always junk, never any silver. I never disturb anyone that cashes change in, and I would never solicit business for the machine. I just simply wait until their done and look in it. Halves are my favorite to look at, probably because their the easiest to look at. Usually only a few in the bag. I realize that nothing like this will probably ever happen again, and after a month solid of nothing coming into the machine, I have given up for the most part, as it is very time consuming. But there will always be that time that old lady dumped the silver in it. . . . . .

NICE finds sublime118! Such a great feeling when you come across a score like this one. Looks like a Mint State Washington to me as well. I agree on the MS60 and maybe a little higher, nice detail and eye appeal. Congrats!!

lol Well, they're pretty much the only store that is "popular" and has that machine. Winn-Dixie has them, but I don't think they get much use.
Plus, I always see a lot of elderly at Publix, heh.
