Very nice find! I really like many of the Shield nickel varieties but they tend to be out of my price range.

Thanks! It was a little expensive for me but I love it and figure it's worth the money.

I have 27 different minor DDOs catalogued for 1872. Many of them are hard to distinguish from one another.
I can say that this coin is not FS-101 because the position of the date is wrong. Still a nice find.

Thanks. And ItchyN what DDO do you think it is? I'd love to know.

The photos are not good enough for me to attempt attribution.

While surfing the web I found a listing sold on Amazon as Fletcher 110. With even more research I found that fletcher is the author of a series of books in Shield cents. Does anyone know a site that documents his book varieties?

Wow! Lucky ducky. I'm looking on the internet and it's expensive. $60 on Amazon. Crazy! Could you try to attribute this variety? Key marker is the big die break on the right side of the coin on the leaves. If you could attribute this coin would be great if you can't it's no problem. Thanks!
