I recently purchased this 1835 Large Cent, N-15 I think.

I'd appreciate your input on grade and any other comments.

I think you are right on the N-15 attribution. As best I can tell from the photos, there does appear to be the small defect on the obverse below the space in the 3 and 5. Also there does appear to be the designated cracking on the reverse.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I saw it at 35-40 and it seems that my guess may be somewhat accurate. I may send it out to PCGS - does that make sense? As most of you know I never slab coins but am thinking that my heirs may need my collection to be slabbed.

Catalogue as an XF 40 is around 60-70 usd. Probably not worth slabbing fees

Maybe join EAC. Used to be that you could send in coins for attribution (not grading though?) for $2.00.

I let my membership lapse about 8 years ago so I don't know if that's still a benefit.

To me, the upper hair shows too much wear for a 40. I might bump to 35.
