I purchased this coin some time back but sent in for grading the coin graded high but with AU Detail Scratch.

I was a little disappointed at the Detail comment at first but then realised it should be noted, it is something they are putting there name on and being strict is part of the service.

I still think its a treasure even with the scratches what do you think?

They should note that, imo that's a vf30 with vending scratch as well as what looks like mutilation or graffiti on the reverse in the leaves.

Would that fit on the label?

I would keep it, at least until I found a nicer one and was willing to pay the premium. Even with scratches still worth $200+.

Tough coin for sure, but seems fairly graded.

Congratulations on picking this one up; it's one of the nine I still need to finish my nickel set. I'd be very happy with it; the scratches aren't a minus in my opinion. The only thing I don't like about yours is that it's slabbed; it would be hard to put in my folder.
