@FP, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @qh72 that your quarter has been damaged, specifically with multiple rim bruises. It is a little hard to tell from your pics whether the surface might be more porous than normal. I have taken the liberty of rotating and enlarging your obv picture a little bit:
