It would be worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. I have one that has all the listed faults but I expect is would go for a few dollars. From the site below comes a quote;

"Do not let anybody try to tell you that a coin exhibiting one or more of these breaks is a rare variety. Out of 33 1928 pennies in my reference collection, 27 (just over 80%) show some evidence of the faults described above."

I recently found an unlisted one of the 1928 broken 8 variety.
It has a dot in the bottom of the curl of the S on the reverse.
It has all the features listed, broken 8 top and bottom, broken top of 2, broken O's, etc.

thanks for that, I guess ill have to wait till I can tell my boss to shove it. I have around 20kg of pennys and half pennys which I'm slowly sorting through, I have found some other varietys, 1922 Cud 2mm wide attached to mmonwe listed as rare, 1927 broken leg of second N in PENNY listed as very rare, 1923 Cud under date listed as rare, 1922 double spur attached to second N in PENNY listed as rare, 1931 spur on the first leg of second N in PENNY listed as rare, all according to renniks pre decimal coin varietys, and looking at my other 1928 pennys I cant find one which doesn't have a broken O in OMN out of around 30 coins, ill see if I have any of your S varietys as well gnome, if you have found a new variety you should get to name it lol, cheers PATIENCE COMES TO THOSE THAT WAIT

With the 1928 1d, it is not very hard to obtain a broken 8 variety, from memory it is a lot harder to find a higher grade 1928 1d without any blemishes.
