Hello everyone...got this nickel today and it feels different and looks rather new for it's age compared to others I have. The top edge is much sharper compared to others, feels new. Wondering if you think it's a proof nickel? I can't get the best picture with my phone, sorry. Thanks!

Looks like a business strike to me, not proof.

Thank you. I know I need to buy a book, or use some other reference to learn and find answers.. I feel stupid asking simple questions but I'm really quite fascinated.

San Fransico made business strikes back then. Totally normal.

Ok, I will keep posting! I'm on vacation and pretty much all I've done for the last 2 days is go through coins. I bought several rolls at the bank and very happy with the results! I have become obsessed with this very quickly. Maybe one day I'll be able to tell the difference between proof and business struck coins, haha, maybe.
I definitely appreciate everyone's help, and the knowledge you all have and share! I love this site, there's so much information here!
