Nice find! I haven't seen many of these around coin shows.

Thanks! I just found out about this variety last night and decided to look through my silver quarters today. After looking at around a dozen under the microscope, I noticed this one immediately when I picked it up. I couldn't believe it, I've been looking for a legit error coin for over a month!

Is there a way to clean silver coins without damaging them?

Not that it adds a premium but an obviously uncleaned , desirable coin , seems to be the exception these days. What's on your coin isn't damaging it and doesn't disguise the variety. The bit of gunk there doesn't look bad at all. I always try to let good enough be , on my coins and only spot extract gunk when it covers up a feature that needs to be seen.

Ok I'll leave it like it is. Thanks stone & coinfrog. I'm just stoked about it bc you can see it without a microscope so I thought about cleaning it so I could show it to others easier
