I have one more I'd like to show you. Got this from an uncle who asked if I could use it for my collection. I think it's a beauty.

The coin looks harshly cleaned from here. Besides that, AU, just about FSB.

my first thought was AU58 however what I'm seeing could be from a slightly weak strike but the lighting is not helping. on the high points of the wing and the diagonals and bands the luster appears to be gone but the light reflections in your photos make it difficult to assess the high points on your coins for rub or wear.

Wow I didn't realize the coin had been cleaned. I still have so much to learn. Thought it was a much higher quality coin. Thank you so

is there any way you can repost new photos with less lighting? I don't think it was cleaned but better photos would help with AU or MS as well as any cleaning

I don't think it was cleaned . Looks to be AU-58, slight rub on hair and wing . Close to FSB but not quite . What concerns me is the rough porous-like skin on entire coin .

I agree. I didnt think it was cleaned but can't explain why it's so rough.

Still too much light. do not use a flash and move to an area with less overhead artificial light. we really need to see the surfaces clearly without the reflections we are seeing. the reason is that what looks like porous fields could be just lighting or could be from a cleaning using some type of acid that would pit the surfaces like we are seeing.

The huge size of the pic greatly exaggerates the surface texture. At worst, AU-58+, could well be 65FSB.

Is @macmercury out there?
