PSD. Not an error coin. This is impossible to happen at the U.S. Mint.

Looks like part of a Magicians coin. I've never seen that much removed on a coin before. They did a great job. Is the width of the coin normal with regular coin? They may have though of putting a different reverse or obverse on the revers on the coin? This has been done before, but not like this example:
