I know Wexler and VV have no DDO's listed for 2001-D but here is one for thought. It appears to have thickening of the date and also LIBERTY. The coin has no contact marks so the thickening is not from contact. In Liberty the BERT is very thick. I am posting a "normal" 2001-D along with pictures of the coin in question. I know this would be a minor DDO but just wanted to put it out there for other opinions.

Not a DDO. That year the devices are thick. You would need to make a match on one of the reference sites to be positive you found one.

Circulation wear and flattening on the devices, causing the devices to look bigger. Not a DDO.
