Here's my latest Iberic pick up...
Sekaisa, Spain. AE23, early 1st century BC.
Obverse..Youthful male head right between two dolphins.
Reverse..Celtiberian legend SEKAISA beneath horseman galloping right, holding spear.
Located in the middle valley of the river Ebro. Its capital was Sekaisa (near to present day Belmonte de Gracián in the province of Zaragoza)
The prefix sek indicates "strong" or "prominent." Economic power based on the mining wealth of its territory.

I like it--the portrait is more realistic than some others I have seen on the BC coins of Spain. Great pick-up!

Nice addition, Paul. Good to see that the chip didn't make it to any of the devices/imagery.

Good to see another Iberian!

Great pickup.

I believe it is ACIP 1562, the portrait with three level hair. 1563 is nearly identical except the guy has a two level hair style.

ACIP describes the legend as number 7 which is slightly different than the one you show. Number 7 has no cross bar in the A like symbol.

Congrats.
