Does anyone know of a place near college station, Texas that can submit for coin grading? If not are there any websites that you can submit to NGC or PGCS through?

Welcome, Maxford!

You have many options for getting coins graded, although I'm not aware of any convenient locations in your area. All my grading is done by mailing the coins to the services.

Just Google PCGS, NGC, or ANACS to easily find their websites. You can just type in PCGS.com, NGCcoin.com, or ANACS.com and that would probably work also.

For PCGS and NGC you need to pay to join their "clubs" in order to get submission rights. Several membership options include free submissions so your net cost per coin graded isn't too bad. ANACS does not require a membership. Another option is to find a local coin dealer who has submission privileges and is willing to send in your coins. The drawback with that approach is they will charge you top dollar for the service and will only mail the coins when they are ready, which could take weeks. I recommend you "do it yourself".

You might want to post your candidate coins on this forum. Our members can offer their opinions about whether each coin is worth sending in. Often times coins have various defects that will cause PCGS or NGC to reject them. They DO NOT refund your grading fee in that case! Also, many coins are of low value and it may not make sense to spend $20 and up to have them graded.

Hope that helps!

You can actually submit to NGC direct through ebay. You do not have to pay NGC membership fees.

Link? I know they did it through Amazon.com (not affiliated with me) but that never worked for me.

I will work on getting the link and will post it here.
I don't think they advertise it on ebay and I had a heck of a time finding it the first time.
Word of caution though, the submission form online was a little more complicated than it has to be. At least it was for me initially!
